'A life changing event'

As if the chilly morning wasn’t enough to scare us, the sudden barks coming from the lonely outside emptiness sent even more shivers down the spine. It was the type of typical noise that the whole world was used to, and yet in this setting it was so unusual. Somebody had to go and investigate. One of the three brave souls had to go and take that first step into the cold anyways, so why not go out and investigate the noise while they were at it? Fear, that’s what stopped the six year old child from doing his sisters request.
“Hurry up! We’ll be late for school!” she tried to encourage to him. With a sigh and an unbelievable amount courage he slowly began to open the door, the icy handle pierced his hand, his breath left him as soon as he heard the ‘click’ noise of the door that indicated it was fully open. A few steps into the unknown and a few more moments later was when the cry was heard
“Wow! It’s a puppy!” Those four words were some form of signal to the elder sister and her family member to instantly run outside and investigate what was just announced. Sure enough, a freezing, and trembling puppy was running around the six year old child. It whimpered a bit, and barked some more
“Hmm,” She-I said
“A puppy, this should be fun” I smiled.
